List #407: A few things I learned on the ski-trip this weekend

List #407: A few things I learned skiing this weekend

1. Skis are tiny now!
2. I still know how to do it.
3. I don't mind being the dork that skis in sweat-pants (I had pj pants underneath for 'layering'), but never jeans!
4. Approximately every other person there (Blue Knob, PA) was #7 for the steelers (and wearing jeans)
5. Ice and rain aren't the best conditions
6. Chairlifts are still scary (especially with small children)
7. Broken glass is the greater danger of walking barefoot through the snow
8. I ought to ski more often
9. Younger kids are hilarious.
10. Good gloves are key.

List #405: Skiing Memories

List #405: Skiing Memories (Because it's been 15 years)

1. Having a back table in the Moosehead Saloon
2. Free ski passes because Mom worked at Spirit Mt.
3. Storing my stuff in the ski shop
4. Jamming my thumb really bad on the death cookies.
5. Skiing 3 days a week sometimes in middle school.
6. Falling off a ski lift (it was at the beginning, and only like 5 feet off the ground).
7. Learning about the "no tucking" rules while on the bunny hill (after watching Pirmin Zurbriggin and Alberto Tomba in the 1988 olympics)
8. First kiss (on a ski-lift)
9. All of my awesome (Then, and now seemingly ridiculously-awesome) ski gear
10. All of my skiing friends.
