2. Sammy's makes a great thin crust pizza
3. I prefer wedges to squares, but squares are better if you want to eat a lot and can eat fast, since you can get more of the pizza
4. I'm pretty traditional as far as toppings and styles go, the only oddity is that I like good coleslaw on top of an already made cheese pizza
5. There is no such thing as bad pizza; pizza starts at good and goes to amazing

1. the Food 'n' Fuel at the great and deadly conflux of streets where piedmont and arlington and 24th and skyline all met (no longer exists)
2. The BP station on Harper's Farm road (because I buy my gas there)
3. Tobies (because it was great to stop there for donuts before they raised the speed-limit and cars became more fuel efficient)
4. Whatever the one by the Miller Hill Mall is that has the Zen House (best 'gas station' sushi)
5. The One Stop. (sigh...)

1. Aside from one small child, we were the youngest people there by at least 15 years
2. The videography was very well done
3. The sound was very good, but I was hoping for full crazy THX Suround Dolby whatever
4. I can't even imagine how big it must have sounded live
5. They tucked my brother way out in a corner of the stage, so it took me a while to find him (which gave me flashbacks), but his hair got decent screen time
6. The trumpet players in the orchestra got a work out
7. The St. Olaf Choir was really good (actually maybe too precise for some of the songs)
8. The Chapel Choir had the best musical selections (others thought the Manitou singers did)
9. There was no Jazz Band, so I still like the DEHS Christmas concert better ;)
10. It was way cooler than just singing for the White House (sorry Carleton... I promise that this is the only time where I think that the Oles win).

List #693: Thoughts on Last Night's Los Campesinos! show at The Black Cat

1. They've grown up and aren't just youngsters anymore
2. The lack of violin was noticeable, but they did a good job trying to fill it in
3. The lead singer has lost some range, but gained a ton of power and presence
4. The main female vocalist sounds great on the newer stuff, but was two low in the mix and is sometimes under-pitch on the old stuff
5. The bass player's image has changed (but she still does 'stoic bassist' very well)
6. The set list was pretty great and included "My Year In Lists" (!)
7. The Black Cat is an enjoyable venue
8. There were a fairly decent number of hipsters in the audience.
9. I would hate to be short at a show
10. Dinosaur Feathers (the opening act) were also a lot of fun. I liked the harmonies and the song about George R. R. Martin.
11. LC!'s sound has gotten a lot bigger or more intense.
12. I've reached the age where earplugs seem like a good idea.

5. That they will no longer allow importing of RSS feeds (which means that I either have to A) Start writing my lists on Facebook, B)copy-paste a link every day, C) quit writing them because non one will see them, or C.1) get over myself and accept that no one cares)
6. How my facebook presence shows up on other websites I go to
7. The merging of the chat/messages feature
8. That news feed thing on the right side (that I got rid of with an ad-blocker)
9. That they do everything in their power to sync up with all the other big commerical sites to import crap, but they are getting rid of easy importing of content by users (see no. 5)
10. That Google hasn't bought them out yet. Get on that guys, maybe hire those Big Money Crew Thugs Heirs to help make an offer he can't refuse.

1. In the age of "Bronies", I don't feel being a BSC fan besmirches my manliness.

3. Stacey scared me because she had Diabetes and had to take shots
4. The Super-Special about summer camp was the 2nd most influential book in making me want to go to summer camp, which despite my lingering bitterness, was pretty important to me on the whole
5. One of the most enraging interactions I've had with a colleague in my profession involved her specifically dissing the BSC as trash. I had to give the "BSC #1 was the book that hooked me on reading, and I'm here where I stand today as an 'effin' School Librarian because of that" (minus the 'effin' part) and just walk away before I had to get my gat'.
6. The graphic novelizations by Raina Telgemeier are really good.
7. I never saw any of the movies. Movies rarely live up to the books.

1. I tend to view Surprises as less-than-positive (not quite negative)
2. I greatly prefer Serendipity (not the movie, kind of the sea serpent, mostly the concept) to surprise
3. Never throw me a surprise party. I would probably walk out.
4. If you have something that you think I don't want to hear, the sooner you tell me, the better. The longer you wait, the harder I will take it, and the less likely I will be to be able to accept it.
5. Dislike of Surprise does not apply to media consumption or small thoughtful gifts

1. Duluth Pack Bookbag: I've had it for almost 15 years, and it's been patched up twice. Has Welsh Flag, MN Northstars and Superman patches as well.

2. Patagonia backpack: I got it in 6th grade. It must have shrunk. They fixed the zipper for free 12 years after we bought it, and even sent a note back with it that it was fun to work on an old bag.

3. L.L. Bean backpack: A pre-Scandinavia-trip gift. I lived out of it for 16 days. Now it mostly hauls my nerdy hobbies, though it's been my beach bag this summer

4. B.E.T Jazz backpack: From my dad through his old job. Fake leather exterior. TONS of space. Used to be my travel bag pre L.L. Bean. Carries the heavy groceries when I walk.

5. L.L. Bean bookbag: Brightly colored. Christmas present. Has my name on it. Used to carry games until it wore out.

1. Even if I still miss Jeff Coffin (grrrrrr.... DMB), it's nice to have Howard Levy back because he wails on the harp, and the piano fills out the sound
2. I must be polytheist, because both Victor Wooten and Bela Fleck both have the Right Hand of God
3. Future Man had a new Drumitar
4. They played "Big Country" which is my favorite, and was unexpected (and was the only song from the Coffin Era)
5. The 4th row isn't a bad place to see them from (though last time I was in the 4th row, Bela sat down next to me and played the Big Country solo)
6. The Big Top is a fun Venue
7. Victor had more groove and less slap than normal (and was channeling Stanley Clarke throughout the evening)
8. There were no Hippos thrown (and I was even in range... sadface)
9. Quotations from "Caravan", "Well You Needn't," and "A Night in Tunisia" from Howard, and a ton of classical references from Bela
10. I didn't notice any references to "The Wizard of Oz" this show

4. Carleton really is a non-pretentions, student-centric place, with fantastic faculty.
